I want to grow my traffic,
what can I do ?
This tutorial will give you a head start
on building a traffic base or increasing your existing traffic
by filtering your surfers.
Begin:
Before you start, you want to consider what niche's your site
will fit. Consider that a surfer who likes blondes with big
tits will enjoy a site where the model fits that niche. Is
your site hardcore? Is your model ethnic? Who is your target
audience? Take a moment and write these niches down.
Now that you have an idea of who you want to bring to your
site, you want to find a way to bring the most qualified
surfer to your door by marketing your site to places that
cater to that particular niche.
Step one: Niche one: (for example my site is busty
redhead Janey)
I have chosen redheads as my
first niche to work with.
I will take my index page of Janey site and do a 'file>save
as>redhead.htm
Redhead.htm will now be receiving
all redhead traffic.
Here it is.
STEP TWO:
I will add a java script ad rotator to my
redhead.htm page. This rotator
will pop up one toplist behind my
redhead.htm page which will give me a hit to the
toplists I'm on. You don't have to fire 4/5 popups when your
page loads to gain momentum on toplists. You also won't chase
your surfer away with only one popup.
You can see that redhead.htm now
has the ad rotator script installed by
looking here. You can view
the source of that page and copy the
<script> and place it on your own page within the
<head></head> tags. You may also
see the
script here. (second script).
**Do not change the name of your page. Just note that I'm
giving you examples one step at a time.
Marketing: Go and sign your site
up to link lists that are in your niche. Janey is going to
sign up for Pickaredhead, Allstarredheads,Certified
Redheads,BestXXX redheads etc. When I sign up for those
particular lists, I will have those lists sending traffic to
http://www.1redhead.com/sweet/redhead.htm
I will take my unique code for janey and place it within the
rotator so that each time a surfer hits that page, I will get
a hit to one of my redhead toplists.
Janey will now be receiving filtered redhead traffic to that
doorway.
Many of the popup lists only need 0-1 hit to show on their
list so by signing up you will start to grow traffic to that
page.
This will in turn feed the other redhead lists sites to move
Janey up their lists also. For a list of niche specific sites,
start here.
COOL:: now I have some redhead traffic coming to Janeys site.
What about some text links?
Since Janey's primary concern is to get a ton of redhead
traffic
to her site, we're going to add a text link box on
her page (redhead.htm)
What links should I put in those boxes? I start at
thelinksmachine.com and do a
search on sites that are a good match for Janeys' site.
Then I start my linking process with them. Yes.. you are
right. I would like them to send their traffic to
redhead.htm. You will never run
out of places to link with!
Who else can go in that link box?
Sites that have the cgi-gateway are a perfect match for the
link box. Since you don't gain any ground popping up a
list that requires the surfer to click through the gateway, I
reserve those sites for text links.
Here's an example of Janey's site now that it has the
javascript and the text link box on the front.
NOTE: The first link in my text box is a link to my
girlfriends page! :)

Next Step: Let's add an exit console.
What happens if a surfer hits your site and wants to close
down your page right away? He's just not interested in your
site, I guess. Well.. let's give him an opportunity to find
something he likes and still gain you some traffic.
First: Let's build your exit console. I made an exit console
for my index page that has lots of links out to my link
trades.
Here is it! You can copy mine if you like it. Be sure that
all your links are opening in new windows on that little exit
console.
Now.. I have made my exit console but I want to give one more
push to my surfer if he closes it down without clicking any
links.
I'm going to pop up my girlfriends page as a last resort to
gain a hit out from them.
