What is a 'friends
page'?
A 'friends page' is a section or page on your website that has
links or pics to the other sites you trade traffic with.
Friends pages or toplists can look several different ways and
use different banners or buttons that the surfer will click on
to see your site.

Why is it called a 'friends page'?
If a surfer decides he would like to leave your site, you
would like him to leave in a manner that will beneift you
traffic wise. Using the 'friends' or Girlfriends title to your
autorank page is more enticing than a "links" page which
almost never gets clicks. Many sales are made daily by surfers
seeing a thumbnail picture of a girl he finds interesting.
Friends pages are a nicer way of introducing your surfer to
other sites and giving you a chance to gain more traffic as
well.
How does it
work?
Standard friends pages are run by auto ranking scripts that
base your placement on the list by the amount of traffic you
send to the list. The more traffic you send to a friends page
the better your placement on the list is-thus resulting in
more exposure and more traffic.
Why should I sign up?
If you are looking for traffic to your website a friends page
is an excellent way to get it.
Traffic is exchanged fairly and you can see immediate results
of your efforts. Signing up is easy and fast.
How do I do it??
You will go to the site that you want to exchange links with.
On their 'friends page'
you will see a link that says "add a link" or "webmasters" or
"sign up here". You will click on that link and you will be
taken to a page that looks
like this.
You will begin to fill out the fields in the sign up form.
Let's take them one at a time.
Email Address:
Your valid email address goes here. Make sure that you use a
legit email address. Webmasters will need to contact you
periodically about links, or changes.
Site URL:
Where do you want the hits from this site to go?
Example: http://www.yoursite.com
Site Title: What
do you want the text under your picture to read.
Example: Sexy Briana!!!
Description: If
the toplist you are signing up for shows descriptions, feel
free to add a keyword rich description.
*Keywords are words that might searched for. If you have a
boobie site, than your keywords might be.
boobie,busty,breasts,tits,nipples,juggs,titties, So your
description could be "Busty Josie's perfect nipples and huge
boobie site"
If you are signing up for a typical friends page
like this one,
place an 'X' in the field. If you don't see a description on
the actual friendspage/toplist, then
chances are they don't require one.
Banner: Put the
url to your picture in here. Most sites use the standard
'friends pic'
which is 100 pixels wide by 150 pixels tall.
It looks like this.
Your url will look like this: http://www.amateurcafe.net/sasha/1x5b.jpg
Do not put the url to your banner html
page!!! Your picture url will be a.jpg or.gif!!!
Note** Do not use a full size image as your friends pic. If
your picture is not
the correct dimensions, your image will load very slowly and
you will lose traffic!
If it is the wrong sized it will appear distorted. Generally
if you use the 100X150 image
even if the site sizes your image down it will still look
fine. Using friends pics with a large file size (animated
gifs) will also slow the page down and your pic may not load.
Make sure your friend pic is compressed!!
Height: Put the height of your
banner here. Most always it will be 150.
If it is a different sized banner required, it will most
likely be noted.
Width: Put the WIDTH of your
banner here. Most always it will be 100.
If it is a different sized banner required, it will most
likely be noted.
Category: Some lists are
categorized. Use the dropdown to find your category.
if there is no dropdown.. just ignore.
Recipricol link URL: Very
important. What is the url that you have linked back to me?
Example: http://www.mysite.com/index.htm
*Note: If you aren't accurate and enter the exact url, you may
not get listed. Webmasters will check to see if recipricol
links are in place before approving your account. No one wants
to search for their link.
Desired Username:
Place your desired username here. Example: sasha
Desired Password: Place your
desired password here. Example: f1eep
You will need to use these to login to the autorank and make
any changes to your listing.
Field One, two, three: If this
webmaster doesn't require any other info, you can leave these
blank. If they need other info, it will be in the bottom three
fields for you to fill out.
When you have completed this... click submit. If you have any
errors, you'll be prompted to backup and fix them.
If not you'll get a page that looks like this.
I signed up. Now what do I do?
If this webmaster has his auto rank set
to review accounts before listing them, you will be notified
by email that your account is being reviewed. If he has his
list set to approve you immedately you will receive your
linking code by email as well as on the
'Account added' page
